4YC: Active Communication for Efficient Control Centre Management

4YC Platform is an intelligent solution developed by Roomdimensions for the comprehensive management of 24/7 control rooms. This platform adds a digital layer to the physical consoles, turning them into intelligent and fully manageable units from a centralised interface.
 

The Platform features a monitoring and support function known as ‘Call For Support’, which allows control centre operators to send visual alerts to other users or modify their availability according to emergency status, priority, etc.

Call for Support makes the console a central point of communication between users, improving coordination and operational efficiency.

4YC Platform uses touch control devices integrated into the console to make one-touch support requests, which are instantly displayed on the consoles of supervisors or other operators.

 

Console lighting automatically responds to these requests, making communication a highly visual element, directly linked to the workstation, optimising reaction speed and efficiency in responding to a call or emergency.

The function has been designed to identify requests according to their type, assign them the appropriate level of criticality and redirect the information to the corresponding user, thus speeding up the management and response to each request.

The Call For Support functionality can be customised to the specific needs of each project, incorporating the following key elements:

 

  • Create and send as many Call For Support as needed to platform users, ensuring availability at all times.
  • Assign a distinctive colour for quick visual identification on the console and in the supervisor's own overview.
  • Configure pre-determined responses to speed up supervisor reaction time.
  • Redirect support requests as needed, whether to a specific user, a role within the platform or a workstation.
