RDI delivers a strategic training and security center for 140 operators at a prestigious academic institution in Saudi Arabia.
Roomdimensions is the company responsible for developing a strategic center for a Saudi Arabian academic institution specializing in security, justice, and forensic sciences.
The complex is designed to support training, applied research, and decision-making in fields such as public safety, criminology, cybersecurity, criminal law, and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The project is based on a configuration of RDI LAN v2 model operator consoles, complemented by AV Totem audiovisual systems. We designed the implementation with different workstation configurations to accommodate 140 operators, adapting to various training, analysis, and coordination scenarios.
The various solutions combine collaborative areas, monitoring stations, and individual workstations, creating a flexible environment ready to meet the needs of each activity.
A technical setup designed for collaboration: we optimize the space to coordinate large teams in real time.
LAN v2 island-style console for 4 operators:
A total of 35 consoles designed for teamwork, allowing 140 operators to work collaboratively in independent groups. They feature partition panels that promote concentration and individual performance within each group.
LAN v2 multiple linear consoles:
12 large in-line operational consoles have been supplied to support 64 operators. These configurations are designed for control rooms and spaces where users need to work in an aligned and coordinated manner.
LAN v2 individual linear consoles:
A set of 8 consoles designed for individual control stations or supervisors. Each workstation includes built-in storage and a dedicated space for computer equipment.
Audiovisual stands (AVTotem):
AV totems, available in a mobile version with wheels or a fixed version with leveling feet, designed to hold two monitors up to 55” in landscape orientation. They feature a sturdy metal frame that conceals the wiring, a ventilated interior compartment with integrated connections to protect electronic equipment, and a front door customized with the institutional logo.
All models supplied feature built-in LED lighting systems, articulating monitor mounts, and charging and data ports directly on the console, making operators’ daily work easier.
The completion of this project solidifies RDI’s position as a strategic partner in the design of operations centers for academic institutions with the highest standards by equipping this prestigious university with advanced, flexible, and ergonomic equipment. RDI ensures an environment designed to withstand intensive use and provide maximum comfort for simulation, training, and learning activities.
With the implementation of this operational environment for the education sector, we reaffirm our ability to transform complex spaces into efficient, ergonomic environments that are equipped to support coordination and decision-making on a global scale.
